Happy Holidays! Et bonnes vacances !

I hope everyone has enjoyed their first three months as a language assistant, and that you have a wonderful holiday break, whether you are staying in France or returning home. The next 3 to 6 months will go by quickly, so take advantage of your time in la belle France and the proximity to so many other wonderful countries. The February and April vacations differ by zones, so here are the dates:

Zone A: Caen, Clermont-Ferrand, Grenoble, Lyon, Montpellier, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Rennes, Toulouse
Winter vacation: samedi 7 fevrier 2009 - lundi 23 fevrier 2009
Spring vacation: samedi 4 avril 2009 - lundi 20 avril 2009

Zone B: Besancon, Amiens, Aix-Marseille, Dijon, Lille, Limoges, Nice, Orleans-Tours, Poitiers, Reims, Rouen, Strasbourg
Winter vacation: samedi 21 fevrier 2009 - lundi 9 mars 2009
Spring vacation: samedi 18 avril 2009 - lundi 4 mai 2009

Zone C: Bordeaux, Creteil, Paris, Versailles
Winter vacation: samedi 14 fevrier 2009 - lundi 2 mars 2009
Spring vacation: samedi 11 avril 2009 - lundi 27 avril 2009

Remember that vacation begins after class on Saturday (if you have Saturday classes) and la rentree is the Monday morning indicated. If you are teaching in a DOM-TOM, you will need to check your academie's website for their academic calendar.

And don't forget the jours feries:

April 13th: Easter Monday (this is already included in spring vacation for Zones A & C)
May 1st: Labor Day
May 8th: End of WWII Day
May 21st: Ascension
June 1st: Lundi de Pentecote
